Zu einem nachhaltigen Gesundheitswesen in der Schweiz gehören eine adäquate Anzahl und eine bedarfsgerechte fachliche und geograsche Verteilung von Ärzten sowie anderen Gesundheitsfachleuten. Die Schweiz weist im OECD-Vergleich eine vergleichsweise hohe Dichte dieser Fachpersonen auf; allerdings beruht diese wesentlich auf der Rekrutierung von Fachpersonen aus dem Ausland.
Trotz dieser erheblichen Zuwanderung können heute jedoch bei weitem nicht alle Stellen in den verschiedenen Sektoren des Gesundheitswesens besetzt werden. Gleichzeitig gibt es klare Hinweise darauf, dass sowohl eine regionale als auch eine fachliche Fehlverteilung vorliegt.

Compassionate Science - Integrating Empathy and Compassion in Research
This report explores how empathy and compassion shape research practices across disciplines. Drawing on a review of existing literature and illustrative examples from early-career researchers, it shows that empathy and compassion are not abstract ideals but practical dimensions of research that can influence study design, relationships, data interpretation, and knowledge translation. Across fields, integrating these dimensions can strengthen trust, deepen understanding, improve collaboration, and enhance ethical reflexivity.
