On Thursday, 13 November 2025, the prize winners will present their work at the Interdisciplinary Forum of Balzan Prize Winners at the Town Hall in Bern.

This year's Swiss Conference on Inter- and Transdisciplinarity (ITD-CH 25) will be held in cooperation with the University of Lausanne.

Please note: The event will be held in German and French mostly.

On 27 November 2025, the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences will award the National Prize for Open Research Data (ORD Prize). This is part of the ‘Open Research Data’ action plan, which the academies are implementing as part of the National Strategy for Open Research Data. The award aims to recognise researchers for innovative practices in the field of open research data (ORD) and to promote the transition to open research practices. Dieses Instrument dient zur Überprüfung oder Neuformulierung von Forschungsfragen, so dass drei gesellschaftlich relevante Wissensarten  generiert werden können: Wissen zum Status Quo, zum Ziel und wie man vom Status Quo zum Ziel gelangt.

Unterstützt den Austausch über verschiedene Verständnisse von Konzepten und Begriffen. Das finden einer gemeinsamen Sprache ist z.B. wichtig bei der Definition eines gemeinsamen Problemverständnisses.

Dieser Ansatz hilft dabei, die funktionale (bezogen auf das Ziel des jeweiligen Projektschritts) sowie die dynamische (bezogen auf die Art der Beteiligung am jeweiligen Projektschritt) Einbindung der Beteiligten zu spezifizieren.

Ein auf Geschichten basierendes Hilfsmittel, das verschiedenen Akteuren erlaubt, rückblickend zu betrachten, wie ein gemeinsamer Prozess wahrgenommen worden ist.

This conference offers leading trainers, researchers, practitioners, and students from around the world the opportunity to share their knowledge, insights, and expertise on the critical issues in inter- and transdisciplinarity needed to build capacity in and through research, education, policy making, activism, and artistic engagement.
