Im Rahmen der Veranstaltungsreihe «La Suisse existe – La Suisse n’existe pas» bearbeitete die SAGW von Mai 2017 bis Frühling 2018 den Themenkomplex «Islam in der Schweiz» (www.lasuissenexistepas.ch oder www.sagw.ch/islam). Wie bei den bisherigen drei Veranstaltungszyklen beteiligten sich ExpertInnen der Fachgesellschaften sowie PraktikerInnen in
Diskussionsrunden, Podiumsgesprächen und Tagungen an der laufenden Diskussion zu MuslimInnen und Islam in der Schweiz. Die Veranstaltungen zeichneten sich durch eine nuancierte Haltung, Faktenreichtum und Gesprächsbereitschaft aus und stiessen auf ein breites Interesse.

Compassionate Science - Integrating Empathy and Compassion in Research
This report explores how empathy and compassion shape research practices across disciplines. Drawing on a review of existing literature and illustrative examples from early-career researchers, it shows that empathy and compassion are not abstract ideals but practical dimensions of research that can influence study design, relationships, data interpretation, and knowledge translation. Across fields, integrating these dimensions can strengthen trust, deepen understanding, improve collaboration, and enhance ethical reflexivity.
