Veränderung der Sonneneinstrahlung: EU-Bericht mit Beiträgen von drei Forschenden aus der Schweiz

Der Einsatz von Technologien zur Veränderung der Sonneneinstrahlung und damit der Verringerung der globalen Erwärmung ist mit höchst ungewissen Vorteilen und Risiken verbunden. Zwei Berichte im Rahmen des EU Scientific Advice Mechanism geben den aktuellen wissenschaftlichen Kenntnisstand wieder und dienen als Basis für diese politische Empfehlungen: die Reduktion der CO2-Emissionen und die Anpassung an den Klimawandel als weiterhin höchste Priorität, und ein europaweites Moratorium für den Einsatz von Technologien zur Veränderung der Sonneneinstrahlung. Aus der Schweiz waren Ulrike Lohmann (Universität Zürich) sowie Gabriel Chiodo und Axel Michaelowa (ETH Zürich) mitbeteiligt am wissenschaftlichen Bericht, der den politischen Empfehlungen zugrunde liegt.

    Regina Aebi-Müller: Second Vice President of the Central Ethics Committee

    The Central Ethics Committee (CEC) of the SAMS identifies and discusses ethical challenges in medicine. Together with its subcommittees, it releases medical-ethical guidelines and publishes position statements on current issues. The CEC comprises physicians from various specialties as well as experts in nursing, ethics and law. As of 1 January 2026, the Committee will have a second Vice President: Professor Regina Aebi-Müller, a long-standing member of the CEC, has been elected to the Board.
