Standing by the science community

Since 2023, the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences have been awarding the National Prize for Open Research Data (ORD Prize). The prize rewards researchers for innovative practices in the field of ORD and aims to promote change towards open research practices. Applications can be submitted until 31 July 2025 using the form below.

A new report titled “On Science for Policy and Diplomacy Education in Switzerland and Beyond: A Brief Overview” has just been released, offering timely insights into the growing field at the intersection of science, policy, and diplomacy. Published by the Swiss Young Network for Science Policy and Diplomacy (SYNESPOD) of the Swiss Young Academy, in collaboration with the Geneva Science-Policy Interface (GSPI) and the Franxini Project of Reatch, the report maps educational opportunities for early-career researchers and professionals in Switzerland, Europe, and globally.

The «Biomedical Libraries» Commission, hosted by the SAMS, is holding a Meet & Greet. This year’s event will take place on Tuesday, 12 August 2025 in Zurich. Participation is free of charge, registrations are requested until 13 July 2025.
