Rapporto svizzero sull'educazione 2026: Cosa significano i dati per la promozione delle STEM e le pari opportunità

Ogni tre anni, il Centro di coordinamento svizzero per la ricerca sull'educazione pubblica il Rapporto sull'educazione in Svizzera. Il rapporto fornisce una panoramica completa dell'intero sistema educativo svizzero, dalla scuola materna alla formazione continua. Il quinto rapporto di questo tipo è stato pubblicato il 23 marzo 2026 e serve alla Confederazione e ai Cantoni come base di conoscenza per la gestione del sistema educativo e la formulazione di obiettivi comuni di politica educativa. In questa intervista, Edith Schnapper, responsabile della promozione dei giovani talenti presso la SATW, spiega cosa mostra il rapporto per il settore STEM e perché una promozione mirata è efficace solo se inizia presto, è progettata in modo interattivo e tiene conto delle barriere strutturali.

    Neuroscience: Robert Bing Prize for two outstanding researchers

    The Robert Bing Prize 2026 is awarded to two outstanding neuroscientists: Eduardo Martin Moraud, assistant professor at EPFL, is being distinguished for his translational research on movement disorders, notably in relation to Parkinson’s disease. Aiman S. Saab, professor at the University of Zurich, is honored for his fundamental contributions to understanding how glial cells help maintain neuronal and brain function. Each prize is worth 30’000 francs.

    International Coalition for Science, Research and Innovation in Ukraine

    The Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences have joined the International Coalition for Science, Research and Innovation in Ukraine. Established at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome in July 2025, the coalition provides a platform for coordinating support for the reconstruction of Ukraine’s science and innovation system. Switzerland is represented in the coalition by the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER), the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), and the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences. By joining the coalition, the Swiss Academies express their solidarity with scientists in Ukraine and support the exchange within the framework of the coalition.

    The SAMS Senate grows by nine members

    As every year, the Senate’s spring meeting has offered an opportunity to expand its membership. On June 18, nine individuals representing various disciplines and institutions were elected as new ordinary members. We warmly welcome them and look forward to drawing on their extensive expertise.
