Neue Ausschreibung zur Förderung von Open Research Data-Praktiken
swissuniversities hat im Rahmen des Programms Open Science II eine neue Ausschreibung zur Förderung von Open Research Data (ORD) eröffnet. Der Call der ORD-Aktionslinie A1 unterstützt Projekte, die ORD-Praktiken für eine bestimmte Forschungsgemeinschaft oder ein bestimmtes Forschungsgebiet untersuchen und testen. Die Ausschreibung bietet die Chance, als Community zusammenzukommen und disziplinenspezifische ORD-Praktiken zu entwickeln, zum Beispiel durch die Erarbeitung von Guidelines und Best Practices für die Erstellung und Nutzung von ORD oder durch die Entwicklung von Schulungen. Besonders willkommen sind Projektvorschläge aus Disziplinen, in denen es noch kaum ORD-Leitlinien gibt, und/oder aus Disziplinen, die mit qualitativen Forschungsdaten arbeiten. Eingabefrist ist der 2. März 2025.

Call for proposals 2026: National MD-PhD program
This year, the SAMS is once again awarding competitive MD-PhD fellowships to talented young physicians to complete a doctoral research training in natural sciences, clinical research, public health sciences or biomedical ethics. Thanks to the partnerships with foundations and associated faculties, the national MD-PhD program can be continued. The submission deadline for applications is 15 May 2026.

Save the date: Symposium on choices for our health system
The SAMS has long been committed to the sustainable development of the Swiss health system. Within this context, the Academy is organizing a symposium on 24 September 2026 at the Eventforum Bern, focusing on the choices our society will have to make in the near future regarding our health system in order to address the growing human, financial, and environmental constraints.
