Swiss Young Academy elects a new Executive Board and Speaker

The members of the Swiss Young Academy elected their new Executive Board on 10 June 2022. Florian Egli was also appointed as the new speaker. In his one-year term of office, Florian Egli will be keen to provide a platform for fresh minds from science with new ideas. Mey Boukenna will be the new vice-speaker. Furthermore Lucas Mueller’s great commitment as the previous speaker of the Swiss Young Academy was acknowledged.

    New federal law on rare diseases: position statement

    As a founding member of the National Coordination of Rare Diseases (kosek), the SAMS supports the umbrella organization's position statement on the new federal law on measures to combat rare diseases. The text provides, among other things, for the creation of a register and the granting of financial aid for the identification and monitoring of specialized care facilities.
