Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences a+
International Coalition for Science, Research and Innovation in Ukraine
The Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences have joined the International Coalition for Science, Research and Innovation in Ukraine. Established at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome in July 2025, the coalition provides a platform for coordinating support for the reconstruction of Ukraine’s science and innovation system. Switzerland is represented in the coalition by the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER), the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), and the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences. By joining the coalition, the Swiss Academies express their solidarity with scientists in Ukraine and support the exchange within the framework of the coalition.

A new factsheet from the Swiss Academy of Sciences (SCNAT) shows how drought affects groundwater and what measures are needed in view of climate change. An integrated approach is required that also takes health into account and safeguards this vital source.
