Citizen Science in Switzerland: Taking Stock and Ways into the Future

Heute erscheint in der Swiss Academies Series «Citizen Science in der Schweiz: Standortbestimmung und Wege in die Zukunft», ein Bericht der Schweizer Expert:innengruppe für Citizen Science. Partizipativ erarbeitet und mit Feedback aus der Community stellt die Publikation zum einen die vielfältigen und zahlreichen Initiativen, Projekte und Tools rund um Citizen Science in der Schweiz vor. Zum anderen werden Ziele und Massnahmen für verschiedene Akteure zu den vier Themen Mehrwert und Wirkung, Finanzierung, Ausbildung sowie Kommunikation und Sichtbarkeit formuliert. Der Bericht entstand im Rahmen der Initiative Citizen Science der Akademien der Wissenschaften Schweiz 2021-24 und wurde koordiniert von Science et Cité.

    Regina Aebi-Müller: Second Vice President of the Central Ethics Committee

    The Central Ethics Committee (CEC) of the SAMS identifies and discusses ethical challenges in medicine. Together with its subcommittees, it releases medical-ethical guidelines and publishes position statements on current issues. The CEC comprises physicians from various specialties as well as experts in nursing, ethics and law. As of 1 January 2026, the Committee will have a second Vice President: Professor Regina Aebi-Müller, a long-standing member of the CEC, has been elected to the Board.
