Call for applications for the Open Research Data Prize 2024
The ORD Prize 2024 of the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences is now open for applications. The second edition of this new prize as part of the national ORD strategy honours research projects that demonstrate best practices in the field of Open Research Data.
This year there are two focus areas: Collaborative and/or interdisciplinary reuse of research data and Educational and/or outreach activities related to the reuse of research data. The Call is open until 31 July 2024.

Public consultation: Advance care planning for emergency situations
Medical emergencies require swift action. At the same time the patient’s wishes must be taken into account, for example the wish not to be resuscitated or transferred to a hospital. To provide clarity in such situations, a national expert group has developed the concept «Advance care planning (ACP) for emergency situations». The concept is under public consultation until the end of February 2026.

Ricercare, stupire, dare forma al futuro - uno straordinario TecDay al Liceo di Lugano 3
Venerdì 21 novembre 2025, il Liceo cantonale di Lugano 3 ha vissuto al ritmo della scienza e della tecnica: circa 700 studentesse e studenti hanno partecipato a 47 moduli appassionanti e interattivi attorno alle discipline MINT (matematica, informatica, scienze naturali e tecnica).
