The Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences award the Prix Média for outstanding journalistic work that communicates scientific topics in an exciting and well-founded manner. Younger journalists can be honoured with the Prix Média Newcomer. The Prix MultiMédia, which recognises innovative storytelling, will also be awarded again in 2025.

In accordance with their mandate, the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences promote dialogue between science and society. When it comes to complex topics such as the energy transition or the use of artificial intelligence, it is crucial that scientific findings are communicated in a clear and accessible manner. This is where science journalism plays a key role.
Whether it's exciting stories with interactive formats or creative approaches to science communication, this award aims to recognise new ways of making science accessible to a wide audience.
