Liveshow: Dataset Dating
Under this year's motto, ‘Where's the data?’, we invite you to an entertaining and educational live show on the topic of dataset dating.
Inspired by the cult TV show Herzblatt, we accompany a scientist in her search for the perfect dataset for her research question. Three datasets – from medicine, history and climatology – are embodied by employees and take on the challenge of convincing the scientist with their answers. Important aspects such as sensitive data, data quality and the FAIR principles are discussed in a humorous and understandable way.
An introduction will get you in the mood for the show, and a concluding reflection will deepen what you have learned:
How do you recognise ‘bad matches’? Where can you find attractive and suitable datasets? And which dataset will win the race in the end?
Be there live, share in the excitement – and take away valuable knowledge for your own data practice!
Venue: Haus der Akademien, ‘Eiger’ room, Laupenstrasse 7, 3001 Bern
You can also participate in the event digitally: Participation via Zoom
Language: German
